Basic concepts

The following information is required to create a scenario:

1. An area of interest.
2. Satellite and sensor selection.
3. Start and end date and times.

The Time Selection toolbar is used to input scenario start and end times.

Clicking on the icon on the Time Selection toolbar activates calendar input (see Diagram 2). To input start and end dates for a scenario click on the start date for the scenario and drag to the desired end date.

Once the scenario information has been input, choosing Intersection Mode (see Diagram 3) from the Time Selection toolbar will compute the scenario swath information and display the results in the Map, Gantt and Report views. If Intersection Mode is not selected, area of interest input is ignored and full satellite swath information for the duration of the scenario is displayed. Toggling of the Intersection Mode is also available from the Tools menu.
